Planet Aid is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that collects and recycles used clothes and shoes and supports development projects in some of the poorest parts of the world. The projects empower people and create momentum to improve health, increase income, aid vulnerable children, train teachers, and enhance the overall quality of life. Our bright yellow boxes can be found across many major metropolitan areas of the United States. Planet Aid’s local offices work with schools, youth groups, and community organizations to raise environmental awareness and inspire participants help make a difference in the world. Thousands of schools and other organizations across the United States already host a bright yellow Planet Aid recycling bin, with more than 20,000 donation bins in parking lots and along storefronts across the nation, we gather and recycle more than 100 million pounds of clothing and shoes annually. This not only makes it easy to reduce waste but also serves as a humble reminder of the good that can be done in the world.
