Brian Balukonis, Littleton Sustainability Committee
Brian Balukonis is the Vice Chairman of the Littleton Sustainability Committee where he coordinated the towns first zero waste event in 2014. Brian has worked at the Raytheon Company headquarters site in Tewksbury as the Solid Waste Process Owner for 30 years where he has been responsible for the development and implementation of Raytheon’s zero waste programs. Brian is a certified Zero Waste Business Associate through the US Zero Waste Business Council.
Tessa David, MassToss
Tessa David is Director of MassToss Cooperative and Devens Regional HHW Collection Center. The cooperatives provides group buying power and technical assistance in resource management for its member communities. Tessa has over has over twenty years of experience conducting operational reviews and establishing efficient and effective processes.She has established and improved operations for local, state and federal governments as well as private business. Tessa is also a previous winner of MassRecycle’s Recycler of the Year Award.
Amy Donovan, Franklin County Solid Waste District
Amy Donovan is the Program Director at Franklin County Solid Waste Management District in Greenfield, MA. The Solid Waste District manages solid waste programs for 22 member towns, including 17 transfer stations and 27 public schools. Sixteen of those schools, including four high schools, compost all food waste from kitchens and cafeterias. Ms. Donovan, MassRecycle’s 2011 Recycler of the Year, serves on the Springfield MRF Advisory Board and directs the Franklin County Fair’s Recycling and Composting Program.
